PRIORITIES

PRIORITIES

 

It’s so important that you know your priorities and what is most important to you.  In a perfect world we would want to do everything and give our full attention to everything — but it’s impossible.  I’m constantly reminding my kids when life gets overwhelming list your priorities and follow through with them.  Not every task is equally important.  The most important tasks move closer to the top of the list.  Prioritizing allows you to identify the most important tasks at any moment and give those tasks more of your attention, energy, and time.  It allows you to spend more time on the right things.

 

We face multiple demands on our time every day.  Often it is demands that we didn’t schedule that overrides the original schedule, resulting in the feeling of losing control.  In these situations, how should you priorities be determined?  Always remember and think through what is going to help you with all of your priorities.  Which priority is going to keep you at your best to get you through everything else you have to do and get you through the unforeseen demands.  The answer is always going to be EATING CLEAN AND STAYING ON PROGRAM and this is why……

 

THE KEY IS TO FOCUS ON WHAT’S IMPORTANT — NOT JUST WHAT IS URGENT

Eating clean and staying on program goes hand in hand with all your top priorities.    While family, work, school, exercise, friends, parties, celebrations are right at the top of the list — Eating clean and staying on program is what helps you be 100% with all of your top priorities.  Why?  Because when you are on program you feel great and when you feel great you are a better mom, dad, wife, husband, son, daughter, worker, and friend.  When you are eating clean and feel healthy, fit and strong you can think better, react calmer, and give better advice.  You enjoy everything in life so much more when you feel good.  When your  jeans are loose – your whole world could be falling apart and you are like “its all good I got this”.  When your jeans are tight and your world is falling apart you are falling apart right with it.  And of course the jeans are just an example.   But regardless they still make us happy when they are loose:).  —  If you want to really be there and be strong and take care of everything in your life 100% then you have to take care of yourself first and make sure you are in a good place because only then will you be able to take care of everything else.  When you are on program and feeling amazing you are the best you can be for yourself, your family, friends, and your job.  You will even exercise better and more often when you are eating clean on program.   So at the end of the day eating clean helps you stay focused so you can perfect all the other priorities in your life.

PUT YOURSELF IN THE DRIVERS SEAT WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR TIME:  If you don’t plan out how you want your day to go, it’s very easy to end up in reactive mode.  This is why I’m always talking to you all about the importance of planning and preparing.  If you don’t plan and prepare – when you get hungry you will react with grabbing anything in sight.  — When you know what you are doing you don’t have to think about it.  When you have your food set and you know were you are going and what you are eating then you will stay on your game and you will be able to put 100% into all of your other priorities and feel amazing at the same time.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU:  Remind yourself frequently that ultimately you are the one responsible for how your time and efforts are spent.  Like many others, you will still get off track at times and have to deal with surprises that pop up.  But if you are on your program and feeling good— regardless of what pops up in your life you will be able to handle it.  Harsh times will occur throughout our lives, but it is up to us how we react to them.  It’s now what happens in life that is as important as how we react to them, and if you are on program, feeling healthy, thin, fit and strong you will truly be able to handle things so much better than if something harsh comes up and you are already in a negative place mentally and physically.

For those of you who have been on program and are currently on program you know exactly what I am talking about.  We have had hundred of clients return this past month.  Some fell off, others just need a little check in after the holidays, and others were reminded how much better they felt on program.  For me I’m truly grateful when clients return because it makes me happy they know that I fully understand how life can get in the way and it doesn’t take much to fall off the path.  I never judge — to me it’s all about moving forward.  Don’t dwell on the negative move forward positive.  Because moving forward positive is the only thing that is going to get you to where you want to be.  There is nothing I want more then for every client to be the best they can be and feel the best they can feel.  I know how feeling good can literally affect everything else in your life.  I love when I get the messages that they are so happy to be back on program— and how when they are on program they just feel so much better, happier, and they love when everything starts fitting again.   —  The scale is important and I know getting to that lowest number at that moment feels like everything but the truth is when you are on program and eating clean and in control of your day — that is what makes you feel amazing whether you are at the lowest number or not.  Because when you are in control and eating clean on program you are in a great place mentally and physically and that is what is truly life changing.

HALLOWEEN – TRICK OR TREAT?

I say it every year and I will say it again

On Halloween fill a brown bag of all the candy you love and save it for your Cheat Day

 

Life is all about making choices, and when it comes to weight loss it’s even more important to think things through before you do.  While it’s very easy to grab, eat and regret — it’s actually so much easier mentally and physically to get through the day knowing that you are doing the right thing for yourself and your body.

 

 

Listen, we speak about it many times — weight loss is really really hard. It’s hard because there are temptations everywhere and that will never change.  It’s hard becasue in order for you to lose weight you need to take in less than your body needs.  Make sure you really understand that concept – you need to be in a state of restriction to lose weight.  You need to take in less than what your body is currently living on to lose weight.  So of course it’s hard.  Who wants to live with less?  That’s why making the right choices will make such a big difference in your weight loss.  Because the better the choices, the more satisfied you will feel mentally and physically.  Maybe not full – but mentally satisfied.  And when you love what you eat and look forward to it — you will absolutely have an easier time staying on program.

 

 

Each week you work so hard to get to where you want to be.  It’s hard and challenging but what choice do you have. This is life!  Some days will be easier and some days harder — and HALLOWEEN will be harder — but the most important thing is for you to understand that you need stay on track and on program to lose the weight.

 

 

Here are some things I want you to think and do this Halloween:

 

WEAR YOUR SKINNY JEANS ON HALLOWEEN:  When you feel good you look good and when you look good you do good!  Leggings and sweats are super comfy but are way to forgiving when it comes to eating.  Wear your skinny jeans trick/treating and you will feel everything you put in your mouth and think twice about doing it.

 

DO A DETOX DAY:  What a great day to detox. Do a breakfasting lunch detox with a light dinner of maybe cauliflower pizza (especially if you plan on feeding your family pizza — you can join right in).

 

 

THESE NUTS!..  GOT EM! — Take the chocolate nuts with you on Halloween. Pop one in your mouth whenever you feel the temptation to have a piece of candy.  The protein will keep you full longer and the balance of the protein and healthy carbs will stop your insulin from spiking.

 

 

PROTEIN TAFFY:  Not a fan of nuts?  or have a nut allergy?  — the protein taffy is what you should have on hand.  One of my favorites they come in 5 different delicious flavors and they are the perfect combination of protein and healthy carbs to feed your body,  give you energy and satisfy your sweet tooth through the day.

 

 

SAVE YOUR SNACKS:  Regardless of what snacks you choose to take with you make sure you save your snacks for the time of the day you will need them.  Whether you are walking the kids, giving out candy at home, at a halloween party, or school event.  There are so many on program snacks that will satisfy you and keep you on program feeling your very best all day.

 

 

FINAL THOUGHTS…  Making the right choices is never easy.  We speak to our children about doing the right thing all the time.  I am forever the parent who preaches about it — and now I will say it to all of you:   when you do the wrong thing it doesn’t only just affect you it affects every one around you that loves you.  Just like when you do the right things it affects everyone around you that loves you — except it affect them in the most positive ways.   

 

Halloween candy is the same candy you can buy anytime of the year they are just dressed in their own little cute costumes for Halloween.  Stay Strong and Remember what is important to you and how you want to wake up Friday Morning

Yom Kippur – Have a Plan

Today at Sundown begins Yom Kippur the holiest day of the year — for those who observe it’s the day on which we are closest to G-d and to the quintessence of our own souls.  It is the day of Atonement — be forgiven and cleansed from all your sins before G-d.

 

For nearly twenty-six hours — from several minutes before sunset tonight to after nightfall tomorrow — we “afflict our souls”:  we abstain from food and drink, and head to temple and our time is spent in prayer to G-d.  It’s truly a beautiful holiday.

 

For those of you who fast, it’s a great time to give your weight loss a boost as well.  Your last meal today should be a nice balance of protein and healthy carbohydrates and this combination will sustain you throughout the fast.  Some great choices would be:

 

  • Grilled or roasted chicken (no skin)
  • Vegetables – Green Beans, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Asparagus.
  • Mashed Sweet Potato – no milk or cream
  • Fresh fruit

 

Water, water, water throughout the day today.  You should never wait until you are thirsty to drink water.   Once you are thirsty you are already dehydrated and when you are dehydrated you will feel hunger.  You should drink water all day when you are NOT thirsty to avoid dehydration.

 

Let’s Talk Breaking the Fast:  If you don’t cheat after the fast you will actually use the fast to your benefit. It will be a great addition to your weight loss.  After the fast you should start with a small on program snack and a bottle of water.  Then follow it by an on program meal.  Some examples:  Skagel or ezekiel bread with lox and light cream cheese; Light Tuna or Chicken salad with ak mak,  wasa or Innovation flax  crackers; vegetables and hummus; roasted chicken or fish with vegetable side.  If you really want to stay on program it’s very doable.  There will be a lot of temptation at the table so the results are all going to be about what you want when you step on the scale Saturday not what you want tomorrow.

 

PLAN AHEAD:  If you planned on cheating tomorrow then I am going to assume you saved your cheat day from this past weekend for tomorrow.  But if you didn’t save it and you decided you want to cheat tomorrow then I would simply skip this coming weekend cheat day.   It’s one or the other. You can’t have 3 cheat days in one week and lose weight.   Make the choice and stick to it.

 

Very Important – don’t cheat tomorrow and say you are going to skip this weekend cheat day and then you don’t skip it.  Because we all know where that will have you end up – yikes 🙁

 

Final thoughts:  You should only be breaking the fast if you actually fasted.  If you are not fasting because of medicine, not religious, you just can’t do it- or don’t want to do it… then you should be sticking 110% on program, and eating clean on program food.

 

Whether you are having a cheat day or deciding to stay clean on program – plan it and follow through.  I think especially on such a holy holiday it’s really important to stick to whatever you plan.  You don’t want to end the holiday and start the New Year beating yourself up because of  the decisions you made and how they made you feel.  If you are cheating then enjoy it and if you are staying on program enjoy it.

 

Don’t always base your decisions on what is in front of you.  Think about and base your decisions on how you will feel at the end of the night – how you will feel tomorrow getting dressed and how you will feel when you step on the scale this weekend.  

 

Whatever you decide— have your plan and stick to it.  Because the most important thing is owning it, — accepting it and enjoying every second on it.

 

Atone for the sins of the past year and learn from those sins

so that you can be a better person for the year ahead.

Don’t say one thing and then do another…….

With the holidays approaching and schedules are full I know many of you are already thinking — how am I going to get through this coming week— when in reality it shouldn’t be that difficult.  Holidays should be about you being surrounded with family and friends and celebrating love, health, happiness and the New Year and the blessings it brings.   Just like the mind controls the body — how you treat and celebrate Rosh Hashanah will reflect the rest of your year.  With that said you do not want to go in saying one thing and doing another.   So if you plan on staying clean do it and if you plan on cheating enjoy it.  The important thing is to follow through on what you plan.

 

I think one of the most important things about the Innovation Program is it gives you the opportunity to have a cheat day once a week.  It’s meant to be a day where you can enjoy without guilt.  However, we sometimes get caught up in when we want it that is most convenient for us VS. when we should use it.  Let me explain further….  if you normally have a cheat day on Saturday  — but you are celebrating Rosh Hashanah on Monday because that is when you will be with family and friends then you should use Monday as your cheat day.  Instead what we tend to do is go on about how we don’t like the food that is going to be served, and we don’t want to waste a cheat day on a holiday.  So instead you have the Cheat Day on the Saturday like you normally do so you can indulge in what you want — but then you end up having Matzo Ball Soup, Challah bread and a couple of drinks on the holiday…. all while telling yourself it wasn’t that much.  And you will justify it by saying you did not want to be that person who couldn’t eat.  But in reality you didn’t have to be that person — you could have just chosen to use your cheat day on the holiday as that is exactly what it is for.   So now you have had two cheat days and you could have easily had one and saved it for the holiday to enjoy with those you love —  or as we know family and holidays are tricky — you could have enjoyed your cheat day on the holiday with a couple of extra drinks if you happen to be surrounded by those you love but drive you crazy 🙂

 

If we are going to ask something from the Almighty then we should be prepared to help him out.  — If you want the right things in your life then you have to do the right things to make it happen.  Rosh Hashanah is about starting your New Year with asking G-d to grant a year of peace, prosperity, and blessings of health and happiness.  But we must remember even when we ask for blessings — it’s up to us to do the right things to make them happen.  If you ask for positive in your life but take all negative steps after asking — then 9 out of 10 times you will get negative results.  One of the most important things we learn in any religion is that asking is not enough —  and it shouldn’t be enough.  Anything you ask, pray or hope for has to be followed up with positive work to receive what you want.  It’s not ask and you shall receive—  it’s ask, and then follow that request up with hard work and positive steps.  Only then will you have the greatest chance of achieving the most precious life changing results.

 

RECAP…   getting through the weekend and the holidays shouldn’t be stressful when it comes to food.  You pick your cheat and you follow your plan.  It’s like any other weekend — you can’t cheat more than one day and expect to lose weight that week.  If you stick to your 6 days on and 1 day off you will lose.  Keep it all in perspective.  If you want to ask, pray or hope for a great healthy year then follow it up by starting the holiday with doing what you planned.  If you are cheating then cheat and enjoy, and if you are staying on program — then plan it and follow through.   There are always options and having the cheat day gives you the flexibility to stay on program or have your cheat day and enjoy.

 

Whether it’s weight loss, happiness, health, love, career, prosperity OR all of the above — regardless of what or who you believe in it all  comes down to doing the right things, working hard and staying on your healthy path.  Because as we all know positive actions = positive results.

 

Don’t ask G-d to guide your footsteps if you are not willing to move your feet

Start Living

Who you have been is not who you have to be.  At the same time, who you are today will determine who you are in the future.  The way you live your life today determines the quality and experience of your life tomorrow.

 

It really is as simple and as complicated as that.  You can plan, you can dream, you can hope, you can pray, you can think.  But at the end of the day, the only way to get control and become the person you want to be is to start being that person now.

 

Our actions, not our thoughts, are what define who we are.  You could be the nicest person in the world but that doesn’t make your dreams come true — it just makes you a really nice person with dreams.  Your plans can be fantastic, but if you aren’t acting on them, they don’t mean anything to anyone and you are just someone with fantastic plans.  You could want to lose 20lbs because they make you insecure and uncomfortable.  But if you don’t do anything about them you will just be an insecure person who is 20lbs over weight.

 

Actions are what separate people from who they are and who they want to be.  I can give you all the tools, motivation, and accountability, but it’s not the HOW that is the problem it’s the lack of action that is stopping you.  If you don’t do something different today, why should tomorrow be anything but the same?  How do you become the person you want to be?  How do you lose the weight you have been trying to lose and how do you reach your goal that you have been trying to reach?  — There is one simple answer.  Don’t think so much just do it.  Put yourself into action and be that person.  Follow your meals and snacks and nothing in between.  Eat clean 6 days and cheat 1 day.  That’s how you do it.  And you continue to do it every day and live the life.  When you are living the life you are in action and doing it and that’s all it takes is doing it – living it and becoming it.  Anyone can be great at anything, they just have to do it consistently for long enough.  It’s just that many people aren’t willing to dedicate themselves to what they want for long enough to make it matter.  Thinking and planning are easy – Action is where the real stuff happens.

 

 

FINAL THOUGHTS… Take Action and Start Living the Life you want and be the person you want to be.  Start by Thinking, Planning, Preparing and most important Taking Action.   It can seem like a lot more fun and easier to dream about [that thin person that I’m going to be]—   In dream world everything is easy.    Then before you know it you start talking yourself out of it.  You are out to dinner and the hot rolls are on the table and immediately you cave because what’s the point?  It’s so hard.  I can’t do it.  Positive thoughts create positive actions just like negative thoughts create negative actions.  If you think you can’t do it then you won’t do it and if you think it’s just too hard then it will be too hard.  We constantly talk ourself in and out of what we want to do especially when temptation is in front of us.  But I am always telling you to choose your hard.  Because it might be hard to pass on those hot rolls but it’s going to be a lot harder when the rolls are on your body.    We use negative in our life to comfort us in the moments we don’t want to do something.  When dreams have to be put into action and become reality we cave.   It’s just so much easier to say it then do it.  But you have to stop living in the saying it and start living in the doing it.  If you don’t try everyday you won’t succeed.  You want something you have to work for it every single day or it will go away as fast as it came.  You have to be positive and you have to know that you can do anything you want to do as long as you follow through.  You think it, plan it and execute it.  Always follow up what you want by doing it.  If it feels hard – do it anyway.   When you put the work and action into you I promise you will be amazed at what you can accomplish and how fast you will accomplish it.

 

 

You are confined only by the walls you build yourself.

On a Mission To Get Control

Summer has ended and September has arrived.  As we move into the cooler days we must do it with a mission to set goals and stop excuses.

 

START BY KNOWING WHAT YOU WANT:  When you know what you want and you set your mind to it I promise it will make everything in your life easier.  The worst thing you can do right now is the Internal Battle of wanting to lose weight but not wanting to put the work in.  You have to remember everyone wants to be thin and healthy.  Everyone wants to feel good and look great in their clothes.  You were  given a beautiful life why wouldn’t you want to look good and feel good living it.  Why wouldn’t you want to slip on your skinny jeans or nice suit with ease….  When you put the work in you can have what you want.   Let’s do it by setting in a September mission….

 

THE MISSION:  Be 100% on program following your menu of meals and snacks with nothing in between — and following 100% 6 days on and 1 day off.  No hiccups of the night before cheat day or the day after.  No making excuses of why you can’t — only focus on what you want and how important it is to you.

 

SHORT TERM MISSION:  From Today until September 30th your MISSION is to be 100% on program.  If you do this I promise you will feel like a different person.  You will have the mental and physical control that you love.  You will feel lighter, thinner, and healthy— and you will excited and motivated with the results.

 

HOW DO YOU DO IT 100%?  You need to walk away from temptation.  Don’t let sabotages in.  Keep all negative out and let only positive surround you.  You have to stop talking about what you wish for and start working for it to see the results.  You take one day at a time.  Focus only on today – plan for it, and follow it.  Then tomorrow you do the same thing.  If an event comes up and it’s not your cheat day you work around it.  There is always a way to stay on program.  It’s a matter of how much you want to that will determine if you do it.  Don’t push it off until tomorrow because if you don’t want it bad enough today what  makes you think you will want it bad enough tomorrow.  The longer you put things off the harder they become.  You have one life.  Every day you wake up  – the day is 100% yours to make the right choices and do the right thing.

 

 

FINAL THOUGHTS:  Summer was fun but now it’s done.  So don’t look back.  We look back for memories and we look forward for results.  From the moment you wake up the choices and excuses you make are going to define your day.  You decide if it’s going to be a good or bad day.  You decide if you are going to make happy choices or make the excuses that will give you instant gratification followed by a day of mental anguish.   Your happiness will always remain within the choices and excuses you make.

 

 

Where you are today is from the choices you made yesterday

You will wake up tomorrow from the choices you make today.

THE DAY AFTER….

Happy Tuesday!  Back to life and back to reality.  I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend.  I have to say I was very impressed with the amount of clients this year that stuck to the program and the one Cheat Day.  Even with the long weekend they set their mind to it and did it.  I love it because I know how much better you will feel today when you wake up and get back to real life.  It doesn’t mean you enjoyed any less, in fact  for many of you I think you enjoyed more.  You were thrilled with your numbers and nothing was going to get in the way of that.  I am so proud of you all.

 

For those who have not done the right thing for yourself this past weekend… for whatever excuse you have told yourself that — “I got sucked in”  or  “I thought I had control but I drank to much and before I know it was too late”  or “one chip ended in a weekend binge.”   Think about it now.  The morning after…. was it worth it?  Think about how you treated your weekend with food and alcohol.  Be honest with yourself – was it worth going off program for?  Do you feel like you could have done better-  do you have regrets.   Whatever your answer is you have to own it and learn from it.  Know what you would do the next holiday weekend.  And remind yourself how you feel today this morning getting dressed.    Now put it behind you and move forward with 100% determination and motivation.  Because for you today – tomorrow – next week and next month is all that matters and is what you have control of.

 

I can tell you this – everyone has struggles and weaknesses just like you do.  Even the person that you look at that always seems to do the right thing — you know who I mean.  I call them sharks.  They are always on program and regardless of what party or Bbq they walk into they look great – they make heads turn – they flow with confidence and they always follow whatever they planned for the day.   — You know who they are—  but what you don’t know is they are no different then you except they fight harder to get through their struggles and they don’t give in when the struggles happen.  You may say “no way”  but it’s true even the sharks have struggles but you just don’t see them.  But I see the them and I work with them to get through them.  Just like everyone else some days are easier than others.  But what they do different is they don’t let food control who they are and what they want.  They don’t let the stress of the day make them eat into a frenzy.  They are disciplined and strict with their one day off and six days on.  It’s not that they don’t want the indulgences any less than you do, but they love to look good and feel good more.  Becuase they know that when they eat clean and stay on program it keeps them in control and that’s how they love to live.  The way they feel and look is more important to them then any food or alcohol can temp them.  They fight on the weaker days and they make it a priority to stay on program even when the path is bumpy.  Even when they have hungrier days they reach out and we figure out how to get around it or what their best options are to get through it.  They know and have learned these weaker days are temporary and everyone has them.  They have their struggles in life but they make sure no matter what comes at them their priority is their health and the way they feel.  Because they know and have learned when they feel great they can fight anything else that comes their way.  And when you look at them wishing you had that strength to get where they are— I am telling you that you do.  I know better than anyone they were once you.  But they fought, and learned and kept fighting to get what they wanted and to feel how incredible they do today and everyday.  Yes, you do have that strength — you just have to want it as much as they do and you have to want it all the time.  You have to get past the tough days and understand they will always be there.  We will always have long weekends and parties and stress.  It’s all part of life.   But you will need to stick to what you know at the end of the day gives you strength and happiness which is eating clean and feeling good in your own skin.  When you learn that feeling healthy, thin and fit makes you happy and that happiness helps everything else in your life, that is when you will make it a priority everyday.

 

What it all comes down to at the end of the day  — it’s always a choice — YOUR CHOICE — do you want it or do you want to talk about it. Do you want to sit and think about it or are you willing to work hard at it everyday.  Every possibility is out there for you.  No one can make you be overweight and no one can make you be successful.  You have to want it and work for what success means to you.   Don’t make excuses — you are no different than anyone else.  If you are willing to fight for what you want and put the work in everyday then you can have the results.  First decide what you want in life, what makes you happy — and work for it 100% everyday.  Successful people don’t work at things when they feel like it or when it’s convenient for them — they work all the time— 24/7 — that’s why they are successful.   While you are sleeping they are working out.  While you are watching TV — they are planning and preparing their meals for the week.  Success is about putting in 110% and getting 110% out of it.  If it sounds like a lot then you don’t want it enough.  If it’s something you really want eventually it won’t even feel like work.  It will be a part of your happy life.  Start now — life is short make sure every minute of your day counts toward something that is important to you and your future.

 

Decide what you want — go after it and fight for it 110% everyday

MAKE THE COMMITMENT

This is your reminder of where you are and where you can be if you want to put the work in.

 

February is coming to an end and March is less than a week away and we all know what that means -Spring and summer are around the corner.  The coats come off and the shorts and T-shirts go on.  You DO NOT want to start worrying about weight loss when it’s 90 degrees.  Even though it’s a cold and windy day – Today is when you put the work in so your summers are not all about cover-ups.

 

~July 4th sounds so far away but the reality is in a blink it will arrive-   Start today 110% and this is where you can be when BBQ season is in full swing:

There are 17 weeks until 4th of July

1 POUND A WEEK = 17 LBS

I know it doesn’t sound like a lot but a pound a week is a pound of fat off your body.  It’s very doable.  The one pound adds up very quickly and before you know it you are 5lbs, 10 lbs, 17 lbs lighter.  *Better to be a pound loss every week than a pound gained.

2 POUNDS A WEEK = 34 LBS

WOW!  Again very doable.  What this takes is following your meals and snacks with no hiccups.  you follow and have one cheat day a week.  No taste, bites, or sips of anything extra in your 6 clean days.

3 POUNDS A WEEK = 51 LBS

We have a lot of clients who lose 3lbs a week every single week.  Not easy but doable.  It takes dedication and some strategic menu planning.  But if it’s something you are motivated to do and be a NEW YOU by July 4th, it can absolutely be done.

Whether You have 10 or 50 lbs to lose you can only make it happen i you commit.  Weight loss is hard work and it takes commitment and consistency to see the results.  

Wherever you are right now you have to make a choice of where you want to be come summer time.  More than anything it has to be what you want and what you are willing to work for.  For many we say it’s what we want but weigh loss is all about actions and in this case – actions mean a lot more than words.  Everyone wants to lose weight but not everyone is willing to put the time in and follow and I promise you it will become a way of life and you will see your body change every single week into the body that you wanted and dreamed of.

You see the clients and the Innovation customers.  They lose the weight and they feel great and 90% of them keep it off.  It’s a way of life that if you follow it you will learn to live the life you love.  The keys are Consistency and commitment.  You have to do it every week 6 days 100% and only one cheat day a week gives you the very best results.  If you fall off for any reason you get right back on.  We have lots of clients that have hiccups but they don’t let them sabotage their whole week, or month.  The OWN it and they move on.  You move past it and right back on program – this includes vacations.  Don’t give yourself an extra day or week.  You get right back on program and back to your healthy way of life.  I was so proud of all the clients that did that this past weekend.  They wet and had their fun on winter break and they came back with no hesitation and went right back on program.  In fact many of them couldn’t wait to eat clean again.  — That is what living the program is all about.

UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF MAKING THE COMMITMENT TO YOURSELF:  You will see the loss every week and you will feel amazing but you absolutely need to commit to yourself and the program.  It has to be a job to you because with all the temptations and social events out there this has to be a top priority.  Follow your menu and you only cheat on Cheat Day.  — you have 3 types of days Weight loss, Maintain and Gain days.  When you add to your meals and snacks even if it’s just a little extra it’s a maintain day.  Why? Because you are eating meals and snacks and having a cheat day every week – so there is no room for error or extras.  It’s really that simple/  So when you are tempted you have to tell yourself even one bite is making you go from a weight loss to a maintain day and all your hard work is not going to show the same results.  Even more simple to understand is you don’t need anything extra.  Everyday has to be a weight loss day and in order for that to happen you follow your meals and snacks and your menu 110% – six days a week.  And it has to be consecutive days.  I you do this you will see the weight come off every week.

What you don’t want to happen – is 4th of July come and the sun shining and summer in full swing and you feel uncomfortable in your own skin and you think – I should have done it when Josephine wrote that last post.  It was 1lb a week and so very doable.  I could have been down 17lbs right now!!  — Trust me when I tell you that now is the time.  I will have the clients running in desperate to lose 10, and 20lbs in two weeks because they realized summer has snuck up on them.  you do’t want that to be you. Because if you can’t do it from now until 4th of July what makes you think you are going to be able to do it in 2 weeks?  and summer will come and you will end up gaining more on top of a number that you already weren’t happy at.  Don’t do this to yourself.

Now is the time to commit and make it a priority.  You already know that when you do the program and you follow through on it and you have that control of doing the right thing and your body is in the right direction there is no better feeling.  It’s a game changer for how you feel and how you act and how amazing and exciting it makes your day, week and month.  Make the commitment to yourself and do it, stay on program and live it.  I promise you if you do – come July 4th, you will look back and say “Im so happy I did it.  I feel absolutely amazing and Im so excited to get dressed and enjoy what summer has to bring.”

LET’S TALK DETOX

LET’S TALK DETOX!
Whether you have done it already, have not done it yet, or are continuing to do it every week, here are some answers to many of the questions and some suggestions to help you get through the day.
RESULTS: The results are in and the clients have been losing anywhere between 3-7 pounds with the detox. The key is you must go right back on program the next day. The best part about doing the detox and why it works so well – is when you do the detox after a cheat day it’s like cheat day never happened because you are giving your body a day to process all the stored food. It’s also detoxing all the chemicals and toxins from the cheat day foods. It’s a win – win for weight loss and health.  Clients are feeling energetic, lighter, flatter and happier.
THE DIFFERENT WAYS TO DO THE DETOX:
The detox comes in six bottles set. The best day to do it is the day after a cheat day, vacation or holiday. You can do the full detox once a week or do mini detox a couple of times a week.
1. Amazing Results:  Drink 6 bottles 2 hours apart all in one day – this will give you the best detox and weight loss results
2. Great Results:  Drink 3-4 bottles and no food for one day. You will still get great detox and weight loss results. Save the other bottles for the next day or next week.
3. Great Results:
Day 1:  Drink 3 bottles with just water in between
Day 2: 2 Bottles – and have a solid dinner and snack
Day 3: 1 bottles – and have a solid lunch dinner and snack
*You can do consecutive days or split them up each week.
4. Good Results:
Once a week : Drink 2-3 bottles during the day and only have dinner and one snack
3. Appetite control and detox
Have one bottle first thing in the morning to help you with appetite control and give your body a mini detox to start the day

It’s a lemonade with a spicy kick. Is it very spicy? No. But you will feel the kick.
Suggestions and thoughts from my creative clients:
– pour over ice in a wine glass
-shots – put it in a shot glass and take shots of it all day
-drink it through a straw
What does the detox actually do:
It’s a detox not a cleanse. What’s the difference? A cleanse has laxative affects.
The Innovation Detox:
– purifies the body of toxins
– gives the body a rest from whole foods and let’s it digest and process stored food that is left in the intestines
-reduces inflammation in the body
– eliminates stomach bloating
-satisfies cravings and helps curb hunger
-creates weight loss
Can you workout? Can I have Coffee? Can I chew gum?
Yes you can workout the day of the detox and the day after. But always listen to your body and if you feel that you can’t then don’t. This is a detox so if you drink coffee – have the coffee and then start the detox. Once you start the detox it’s detox drink and water only. No coffee, gum, mints etc. You don’t want to put any chemicals in your body you are trying to get rid of.
Is it hard to do? It’s as hard as you tell yourself it will be
– Funny story – one of my clients who I new was very capable of doing this was really excited when she got the detox. But of course like many of us the morning she started she let her mental thoughts immediately get to her. She texted me half way through the first bottle and said — I don’t know if I can do this. I already have a headache—-… and went on to list all the negative things she was feeling. Im very familiar with all my clients and their personalities and I knew what was happening. I explained that she needed to get over the initial thoughts that this was going to be her day drinking detox. Thinking negative thoughts about not eating and chewing all day can be difficult. And for many of you it’s about routine. You wake up and you know when you are going to eat and you look forward to it. Getting past the thought that you are drinking all day is a big deal. I totally get it. But I also know what you can do and how good you feel when you do it. — I told her to basically stop thinking about it so much and just get past it. It’s one day and you can do anything for one day. And honestly once you finish the first bottle it really gets so much easier both mentally and physically. She listened. Sure enough not only did she drink 5 bottles, she felt so amazing and her numbers on the scale were so good that she decided to drink the detox for breakfast and lunch the next day and only had dinner and dessert. She told me she wasn’t even hungry the next day and that I was right once she told herself to get over it and just be “okay” with it – she was fine.  My point to the story is that it’s very easy to talk yourself out of anything. Keep this in perspective – It’s one day and it’s amazing results for your weight loss and your health!! You can do anything for one day and when you are getting such amazing results it should make it that much easier. Just commit and get through it. Stay positive and know that you can do this. Most of all remind yourself the good you are doing for your body both physically and mentally.

WORK HARD. DO GOOD. BE INCREDIBLE

Hi Everyone! I am so happy everyone loves the store. It’s so important to me that my clients love and are happy where they shop. Making you happy makes me happy. But for many of you who know me already know that!
  • Happiness and goals: Whatever makes you happy should be easier to work toward. But, sometimes we put too much thought into things we don’t need to. We know what we want and we know if we continue on our path we will get there. But yet we still flutter our minds with nonsense that really has no bearing on you unless you want it to. For example. After an amazing summer we run right into holidays. But that’s okay. Just continue on your plan and stay on program. There is nothing else to think about. My cheat day is Sunday, and Monday I will make sure that wherever I am going they will have an on program option for me. OR. I decide my cheat day is going to be Monday because I am going to my family and there will be all kinds of food and drink I want to participate in. Okay great. I will stay clean all weekend and have my Cheat day Monday. Sounds so simple right? It sounds simple because it is simple. More important it’s what will give you results that make you happy. I can’t tell you how many of you will text me on Tuesday and say I am SO HAPPY I stuck to my one cheat day. Sticking to your plan gives you happiness because you stayed on your path, you feel good both mentally and physically and you are on track working toward your goal that also makes you happy. My point is don’t flutter your minds with other possibilities or set yourself up for failure when you know the result is not going to make you happy.  What is going to make you happy and give you the results you want is sticking to your one cheat day. You are the only one who can work, and make good choices to make that happen. If you want to stay happy keep on the path that is helping you reach your goals.
  • The transition can be challenging: We are coming off of an over indulging summer. Of course we want nothing more than to be 110% because we are so sick of all the food and drink we just consumed in a couple of short months.  But you must remember the temptation will still be there. Just because you say you are done – now you must train your body and mind to be done. The more you get back on that consistency of doing the right thing over and over without fail is when the temptation starts to disappear and your happiness and goal becomes clearer and clearer.  It’s one day at a time and continue to work hard at what you want and make the right choices and before you know it you are back on your path and feeling amazing.
  • Being incredible can sometimes be uncomfortable:  If you want results you have to be willing to do what it takes. This is what it takes – getting up everyday and working toward your goal and agreeing that some days will be very very uncomfortable. And that’s okay because it’s those tough uncomfortable days that you get through that make the biggest difference in the outcome. When those uncomfortable times or days appear you need to work harder to get past them. Don’t waste time thinking of an easier way because there is no easier way then doing the right thing.
The time you spend trying to find an easier way or a short cut – could be time that you already invested into the work that would be getting you to where you want to be. For most of you life is very simple if you don’t complicate it.  If you want to do well in life you must get up everyday and work hard toward what makes you happy.  Don’t waste your time looking for short cuts or easy. Just get up work hard, make good choices and you will reach your goals.  We all have to work. And it should be at multiple things – at jobs, families, school, at love and for most on our bodies. But the point is no matter what it is in life that you are working for – if it makes you happy and you get up everyday and put the time and effort into it – I promise it will happen. Yes it may happen slower for some but slow or fast it will happen. Consecutive days, hard work, making good decisions will lead to incredible results. And when you continue to do the right thing – the journey is alway just as exciting and rewarding as the outcome. Everyday you are closer to what you want. Everyday you feel better and better. Everyday you have more and more control.  -And this should apply to everything in life. The more it makes you happy the more likely your success will be.
There is no easier way to get results
then doing the right thing everyday.
