Don’t Stress About The Weekend

If you are a little stressed about the holiday weekend – don’t be. You need to keep this very simple. You are either going to stay clean the entire weekend with one Cheat Day or you are going to maintain and eat clean all day, everyday with either dinner and dessert cheat or dinner and drinks cheat. What you are NOT going to do is cheat all day everyday in the mindless thinking that it’s the last weekend of the summer and “who cares!” Because I promise you, come Tuesday morning when you are trying to get dressed you will care. What you do today, tomorrow and this weekend will make a difference in where you are next week.

The end of the summer holds a combination of emotions depending on if you are emotional from dropping your children at college or anxious getting ready for the new school year. Wherever your life is right now and where your emotions are – what is most important is how you feed your body and mind. That is what is going to determine how you get through this weekend AND how you feel by the end of it.

It’s not a surprise that if you over eat – you just want to keep over eating.
If you eat unhealthy foods you just keep craving more.
If you eat clean – it makes you feel amazing and you just want to keep feeling it.
If you fuel your body with healthy choices – it will provide your emotions and anxiety with calming medicine.

Whether or not you have been 110% all summer – make this weekend count. Start September by making the right choices for what you want and how you want to feel. Don’t throw the weekend away because your summer was not perfect. Don’t look back, don’t think about what you did, just think about what you want moving forward. Stay positive, think positive and know that what you do this weekend is going to make a difference in next week. Do the right things for your body and mind and it will repay you with happiness in how you feel and look. It’s not always easy to do the right thing. It’s even harder to do the right thing after you have done a summer of not so great things. But the faster you get back on track, the quicker you will get back to feeling in control, lighter and over all just so much better than if you spend the whole weekend cheating.

Keep it positive. This is a journey and you will be constantly challenged. How you handle the challenges will define your success. We all have detours. They are necessary, and when you learn from your detours you will strengthen your mind to handle each one better than the detour before. Put the past behind you and move forward with what you want and what you have learned. Remembering that everyday and every situation does matter. At the end of the day – accept that you are the one who is most responsible for reaching your goals and making your dreams come true. Only you – not your spouse, not your children or your parents – not your neighbors or friends and not the sabatogers. You are responsible for making today a great day.

IT’S VERY SIMPLE:
WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR GOALS,
WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR HAPPINESS,
WHEN IT COMES TO WHAT YOU WANT
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING IT HAPPEN.

START BY MAKING TODAY A GREAT DAY!

MAKE MONDAY A WEIGHT LOSS DAY AND GET RID OF THE WEEKEND BLOAT!

Mondays can be tough days. They tend to make us feel bloated and tired after a long weekend of socializing. Even if it’s just socializing with the immediate family, statistics show that we eat 80% more on the weekend than during the week.

For many, Mondays are also the start of work and school week. It’s a day of transitioning from happy and carefree to miserable and restricted.

If you are tired of starting your week feeling unhealthy and bloated, here are two simple tips to make your MONDAY a better day.

1) Start Sunday Night! If you make an effort to get some form of exercise competed on Sunday night before you turn in, you will feel so much better Monday morning. Even if it’s just walking the dog for a couple of blocks – try to end your weekend with a healthily exercise. By doing this, you will feel like you are already ahead on Monday morning.

2) Start Monday LESS AND LIGHT with a Low Calorie & Low Fat Menu. Think egg whites, grilled chicken, vegetables, yogurts, and nuts. By starting your week less and light you will not only get rid of most, if not all, of your weekend bloat, you may actually lose weight that day.

If you make the effort to do a Sunday night exercise and make your Monday a less calories and low fat day, these two simple tips will not only make all the difference in how you feel, it will also make all the difference in how you start your week.
