The Innovation Store and Studio will be closed April 11th through the 16th for the Passover and Easter Holidays.

 

We will re-open on Monday April 17th with normal hours.

*For all of our Manhattan delivery clients, please send in your order by the end of the day today if you would like to receive an order with our hand delivery service this Wednesday April 5th. This will be our last delivery day before closing for the holidays.

 

If you would like to place an order to pick up or ship on Monday April 10th make sure your order is submitted by Saturday April 8th – but the sooner the better!

TEN REASONS WHY INNOVATION CHIA CEREAL AND CHIA CHIPS ARE SO GOOD FOR YOU

 

1. Chia fills you up quickly and will keep you feeling full and satisfied for hours. This is due to it’s swelling nature. Chia swells up to 9 times its size when placed in any liquid and so it grows and this expanding quality gives you a full feeling without high calories.

2. Chia gives you energy. It is called the “runner’s seed” and is well known for giving strength, endurance and stamina to those who consume it.

3. Chia balances your blood sugar levels, making it great for diabetics and those with hyperglycemia.

4. High protein. Chia has all 9 essential amino acids in proper proportions as well as many non essential amino acids. It’s a muscle building superfood!

5. EFA’s. Chia has a similar essential fatty acid profile as flax seed, with an ideal ratio (3:2) of it’s omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids.

6. Fiber. Chia has a high fiber content which helps with elimination and is beneficial in that it sweeps the toxins out of your body. Chia contains both soluble and insoluble fiber. 9. Brain power. Chia has a great combination of nutrients and EFA’s to make it great for your thinking, memory and focusing abilities. It will help to make you smart!

10. Weight loss. The combination of making you feel full quickly for hours and getting high levels of nutrition in addition to lots of fiber make it an amazing weight loss food.

SHOUT – OUT TO MY MARATHON RUNNERS

 
Sunday starts the week for some and ends it for others…For Innovation, it started with a Half Marathon and some amazing Innovation ladies that not only ran it – they did absolutely amazing in it. Despite the rain, wind, and cold they started out strong and ended stronger. From the day the started training together the constant support and encouragement they gave each other made it clear they were in this together. I was so proud to be a part of this adventure with them and I am thrilled that they each got to check off such an amazing goal from their bucket list. Running a half marathon is something that everyone wants to do but not everyone can…Meghan, Melissa, and Jen be so proud that you not only did it but you did it amazing!!!!! Awesome Awesome job ladies!!!

DON’T EAT FOR TODAY – EAT FOR JULY
 
With this past crummy week of weather I had to remind many of you that you are not eating for today…you are eating for bathing suit and short season in July. That’s right, it’s very easy to be fooled by mother nature right now. Rain, cold, wind…not sure if we are going into spring or fall. But I assure you the comfort food that you may be reaching for because of the dreary days will take a lot longer to get off your body then it is to put on. It may not be today or tomorrow but I will promise you by next week you will see the sun shining and as quick as it happens it will be 80 degrees even quicker. The very best thing you can do for yourself when it’s nasty out – is bring the sunshine in. Take out the summer clothes and rearrange the closets and start trying things on – if that doesn’t do it I don’t know what will. If everything is tight or tighter then you better get refocused and start now! You know I don’t believe in fad diets but I do believe that you can mentally and physically get yourself in a good place by July 4th…and that is when summer officially starts. So next time you reach for something that is not on program… make sure you go try on a pair of shorts first.

So I know I have told you over and over how weight ages you. Well Cathy proves me right!!!! Her after photo is proof that when you eat healthy and clean and lose weight it doesn’t only make you feel younger it makes you look so much younger!!! When you eat clean and take care of yourself from the inside out you get the most amazing results. Thanks Cathy!!! One year later and you look 10 years younger. You are an absolutely inspiration to so many!!!!
